UNODC invitation letter to Toxicology Laboratory
Aiming to ensure the quality of expertise and tests carried out at the institution, as well as the reliability of the established results in accordance with the requirements of the international standard LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 ‘General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories‘, Toxicology laboratory of the State Forensic Medicine Service has been participating in international interlaboratory comparative research programs initiated by the UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Austria. Evaluating the successful participation of this laboratory in the UNODC International Collaborative Exercises program (ICE) and the results achieved, UNODC invited the Toxicology Laboratory to join the UNODC Global Network of Forensic Laboratories, uniting 450 forensic laboratories from 119 countries around the world. Participation in the activities of this Global Network will open opportunities for the Toxicology Laboratory to continue participating in the International Collaborative Exercises proficiency tests in drug testing, be provided with UNODC manuals and guidelines, the UNODC early warning advisory on new psychoactive substances.
