Forensic Medicine Expert Awarded the Prosecutor's Medal of Honor
On October 23rd, Dalius Banionis, a forensic medicine expert at the State Forensic Medicine Service (SFMS), was honored with a significant award – the 2nd-degree Prosecutor's Medal of Honor. This high award was presented to the expert by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania, Nida Grunskienė. Dalius Banionis is the first forensic medicine expert to receive such an accolade.
This recognition attests to the many years of dedicated and impeccable work of D. Banionis, an expert at the SFMS Kaunas Division, in the field of forensic medicine, as well as his professionalism and contribution to the administration of justice. The expert also consistently participates in various forensic medicine initiatives and represents the SFMS abroad. The 2nd-degree Prosecutor's Medal of Honor "For Merits" was awarded "for exemplary performance of official duties, active cooperation, and exceptional merit to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Lithuania."
The award ceremony was also attended by the Chief Prosecutor of the Kaunas Regional Prosecution Service, Rimas Bradūnas, and Deputy Chief Prosecutor Tomas Staniulis.
This award is not only a personal recognition of D. Banionis's merits, but also a tribute to the work of the entire forensic medicine community.
