Expansion of the scope of accreditation of the State Forensic Medicine Service
On May 8, 9 and June 20, 2024 an expert group of the National Accreditation Bureau under the Ministry of Economy conducted the expansion of the institution's accreditation area and a supervisory audit at the State Forensic Medicine Service. The expert group assessed the compliance of SFMS with the requirements of the international standard LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, the competence to perform activities specified within the field of accreditation, the suitability of the organization’s activities and procedures applied. The assessment conclusion, approved by the Director of the National Accreditation Office order of August 1, 2024 confirms that the State Forensic Medicine Service complies with the requirements of standard LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and other accreditation requirements, is competent to perform activities within its accreditation areas, is properly organized and applies appropriate procedures. The scope of the institution's accreditation has been extended and the accreditation of the State Forensic Medicine Service for collecting samples for laboratory tests, serological and DNA, toxicological, histological, medical criminalistics examinations and tests was approved.
