Estonian colleagues visit in SFMS
In 2024 October 8-10th, Galina Kuningas (forensic medicine expert) and Liis Kärgenberg (resident of forensic medicine specialty) visited the State Forensic Medicine Service (SFMS, Vilnius). Colleagues got acquainted with the structure and expert activities of the SFMS. In the medical criminalistics and histology laboratories of the SFMS, they were interested in medical forensics, forensic anthropology, histopathology research, applied methods of preparation and investigation of research objects. During the visit, they visited and got acquainted with the work of the toxicology, serology and DNA laboratories of the SFMS, the possibilities of cooperation and participation in project activities were discussed. After evaluating the knowledge, certificates of continuous professional development (CPD) were awarded.
